Last night I had the privilege of sitting on a friend’s porch chatting about politics, religion, and life while our kids played in his pool. It was a great relaxing time. Then this morning I read Paul Mosley’s blog.
Paul and his wife Rebecca are missionaries in Burundi. Burundi is bordered by Rwanda in the north and the Congo in the south. You may remember the horrific civil war that happened there between the Hutu’s and the Tutsi a while back. Paul and his wife Rebecca are doing some fantastic work there helping rebuild the country. Today Paul posted his observations of the current elections in Burundi. You can read them by clicking here.
After talking American politics last night and then reading Paul’s thoughts this morning, I couldn’t help but reflect on how fortunate we Americans are and how seriously we should take the our responsibility to pray for and support Christ followers like the Mosley’s.
Happy memorial day.
